The Wise Lord

The Supreme Divinity

Ahura Mazda

Ahura Mazda—the Wise Lord—is the uncreated Creator, the source of all that is good, true, and righteous. Before time, beyond space, Ahura Mazda exists as the supreme intelligence from which all creation flows.

In the cosmic struggle between Asha (Truth) and Druj (Falsehood), Ahura Mazda stands as the embodiment of divine wisdom, calling humanity to choose the path of righteousness through free will.

AZIIE operates under the spiritual authority of Ahura Mazda. Every decree, every recognition, every act of governance is measured against the eternal standard of divine truth.

"I who am Ahura Mazda created this world which is beautiful, shining, and splendid." — Vendidad, Fargard 1

The Prophet of Truth

Zarathustra

Zarathustra (Zoroaster), born in ancient Persia, received divine revelation from Ahura Mazda and became the prophet who established the path of righteousness for humanity. His teachings, preserved in the sacred Gathas, form the theological bedrock of Zoroastrian faith.

Zarathustra taught that every individual must choose between Asha and Druj—between truth and falsehood—and that this choice defines not only one's destiny but contributes to the cosmic battle between good and evil.

AZIIE upholds the teachings of Zarathustra as the authoritative spiritual guidance for all Zoroastrians. The Gathas remain the supreme scriptural authority by which all matters of faith are judged.

"Hear with your ears the best things. Reflect with a clear mind — each person for themselves — upon the two choices for decision." — Yasna 30.2 (The Gathas)

📜 The Declaration

The First Declaration of Human Rights

Cyrus Cylinder

In 539 BCE, Cyrus the Great, the Zoroastrian King of Persia, conquered Babylon and issued a decree that would echo through millennia—the Cyrus Cylinder. This ancient clay document is recognized as the first declaration of human rights in history.

Cyrus proclaimed freedom of religion, abolished slavery, and established that all peoples under his rule would be treated with dignity and justice. These principles emerged directly from Zoroastrian ethics—the commitment to Asha manifested in governance.

AZIIE honors this legacy. The principles of justice, human dignity, and righteous governance enshrined in the Cyrus Cylinder inform how the Council exercises its authority. We lead not through domination, but through the example of truth.

"I gathered together all their peoples and restored them to their dwelling-places... I let all dwell in peaceful habitations." — Cyrus Cylinder, 539 BCE
