Standing With Our Zoroastrian Community in Iran

The Association of Zoroastrian Integrity, Instruction & Enlightenment (AZIIE) extends its heartfelt solidarity to the Zoroastrian community in Iran at a time of ongoing challenges and uncertainty. We stand in shared concern for the well-being of families, elders, children, and all who strive to preserve dignity, cultural heritage, and community life under difficult circumstances.

Iran is the ancestral homeland of our faith. It is where Zarathustra received divine revelation, where the sacred fires were first kindled, and where Zoroastrian civilization flourished for millennia. The Zoroastrians who remain in Iran today are not merely a minority—they are the guardians of our most ancient heritage, maintaining traditions in the very land where those traditions were born.

We acknowledge the statement of solidarity issued by the Federation of Zoroastrian Associations of North America (FEZANA), which affirms compassionate support for those affected. AZIIE affirms these sentiments and reiterates our shared values rooted in the Zoroastrian principles of:

Humata (Good Thoughts), Hukhta (Good Words), and Hvarshta (Good Deeds). These teachings call upon us to lead with empathy, wisdom, and active care for one another during moments of hardship and community strain.

AZIIE encourages members of the global Zoroastrian community and wider audiences to continue fostering understanding, unity, and respectful support for those whose lives may be affected. We recognize that the resilience of the Zoroastrian people has deep historical roots, and we hold hope for peace, well-being, and stability for all.

Our Commitment

AZIIE commits to maintaining channels of communication and support with Zoroastrian organizations in Iran, including the Tehran Mobeds Council and local anjumans, to the greatest extent possible. We will continue to advocate for the preservation of Zoroastrian heritage sites, the protection of community rights, and the welfare of our brothers and sisters in the homeland.

We call upon the global Zoroastrian community to remember our Iranian co-religionists in prayer, to support charitable initiatives directed toward their welfare, and to raise awareness of their circumstances through respectful and accurate discourse.

The sacred flame that has burned in Iran for thousands of years must not be extinguished. As a global community, we are united in ensuring that the light of Zarathustra's teaching continues to illuminate the path for generations to come—in Iran and throughout the world.

"We gather together in spirit, across all borders and circumstances, united by Asha—the eternal truth that binds all Zoroastrians as one family under Ahura Mazda."
